READY TO PULL MY HAIR OUT!

OK, I admit it, I'm having a terrible time trying to get my computer to where I would like it to be. I have an appointment with tech support at my local store on Tuesday. For those of you who asked, I decided to get away from my Apple. I got it a few years ago to work with a local artist (She worked only on Macs), but I don't have a solid enough reason now to pay twice as much. So, I got a Dell Ispiron with 2GB RAM and 2 GB hard drive. It was on clearance at Staples for a pretty good price, so that kind of explains my impulse buy...

I'm not having fun with it though (I'm trying!). I don't know if it's the computer, this new Vista stuff or just me (although I've never had this sort of trouble with computers before). My iTunes download last night took five hours, with no other applications in use. My HP download (to get the driver for my printer) took 4 hours yesterday and still doesn't work. My PSE software says its there, but it won't open. UGH!!!! If you have any advice for me, please let me know!

But, I can surf, and I can blog! Doesn't need to get much better than that, right? How about a simple card I did yesterday? It features Making Memories Chelsea's Place papers and one of the sentiments from PTI's Out On A Limb. The frame die cut is from Accucut.



My Stampin' Up! order came the other day, and I've finished trimming and mounting, so I am looking forward to playing with my new toys! Gotta love Sale A Bration time!

I hear ya about Vista- it took me a few days to get used to it but now I love it!!!

Go online to Dell support and use the chat feature. They will do remote access and will get everything working for you. I have the same computer and was having problems with mine too but they were able to fix my probelms for me that way and I did not have to go anywhere either. I hope they can help you too.

I hate vista, too. It almost sounds to me like you have a processor issue, though.

I got an HP Pavillion Entertainment laptop and love it.
