Ever made a card for yourself?
I needed a little cheering up today, so I made this for myself. It just kind of seemed appropriate, you know? Anyways, nothing earth-shattering going on, just a few stress-makers that are out of my control, so in the spirit of rolling with the punches, I made this! The stamps are from PTI's Green Thumb (which is going to sound REALLY funny coming from me, but I just got this set! I know - what in the world took me SO long?!). I used Berry Sorbet and Spring Moss inks and cardstocks and Spring Moss Swiss Dots ribbon. The layout is from an old sketch challenge at SplitCoast (maybe no. 54?).
There are two little things I did on this that may not be obvious. First, the polka dots in the boot - I 'stamped' them with a ball-tip stylus (I thought they were so cute that they deserved to match the accents on the boot). The second thing was that I manipulated my sentiment into a similar curve to the paper. I loved the way that it followed the paper.
And the answer to the inevitable question of whether or not I have lots of shoes is "kind of". I have a thing for cute, yet practical, shoes and have a habit of acquiring really cute sneakers in lots of colors and patterns. All the sweet Wellies that are on the market are really calling to me, so maybe I can manage that craving with this stamp set. After all, now I can have cute Wellies in any color I want! ;)
I'll be back tomorrow with another card from the PTI release - it's one for my parents. Their anniversary is tomorrow and I didn't want to spoil the surprise for them. ;)
I hope you're doing well!
