Busy & giveaway!

I usually dislike hearing how busy a blog writer is, but I'm going to come on and tell you how busy I have been. OK - seriously not a whiner here, but I'm hoping you can forgive my random posting lately. There is lots going on here, with realtors and appraisers and inspectors, and trips to Virginia and back. The Beav's baseball season has started, too, so I'm going a little batty. :)

I'm busy preparing samples for this month's Papertrey Ink release. I think you're really going to love this month's release. Oh, I just can't wait to share them with you!

So, now that spring has appeared in most parts of the country, I'm curious as to what is keeping YOU busy these days. And because I know each of you are just as busy as I am (and I appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to come and say Hi!), I'm having a little giveway. I have a set of Spellbinders Scalloped Heart Nestabilities* to give to a lucky reader! (* Please note this set is a complete set, but does not nest properly with the Classic Hearts. They work beautifully and cut gorgeous scalloped hearts!)

Don't forget to keep me humble and let me know what is taking up your time these days! I will draw a name on Thursday night.

Be well.

I work overnight as an RN -- this morning I go to meet a bunch of ladies (that sleep all night) for coffee so we can plan my son's (the 4th grade's) moving on ceremony (an all day affair for them), sleep 2 hours, go to the school to volunteer in his classroom for 2 hours, run to my daughter's school to pick her up at 2, pick my son up at 2:30, get them 25 minutes away within 20 minutes for their annual doctor's checkups, get home in time to get my son in the opposite direction 15minutes to his tutor for an hour, get dinner on the table, get my daughter and 3 of the friends to dance in still another direction, and get up to my SU demo's house in time for a meeting where she's hoping to hook me into signing on as a demo! Yes, today is a bit crazier than tomorrow, but it's going to be 1 very long day, and I don't think I'll see stamping time today. When I do stamp, I have to get my son's birthday thank you cards out (15) since I took him and 14 of his closest friends to a hockey game Saturday night (which was supposed to be my husband's duty but he was home sick with the stomach bug!). Yikes, I tire myself out! Sorry to bore you with the details! Thanks for the giveaway! jeanne

This is not the best way to have my time taken up, but I am working on all the paperwork to be approved for back surgery in Florida. This is a big step for me and I want to make sure all is correct before I go. I am doing alot of sitting in front of the computer also reading blogs. Thanks--I would love these heart nesties.

Hey Jenn!
Just wanted to say that I love your new layout here on the blog. Looks great!
Work is keeping me busy these days. It tends to get crazy when the weather starts to get warmer. Also, I've just started playing tennis with my husband. So we're outside alot getting back into shape! :)
Have a wonderful day!

Well, my life seems to go in fits and starts as far as busyness is concerned. Now that the kids are older, and two in college, I have a lot more spare time. I even have a room of my own - after 32 years! My best hint for being organized in a life-changing situation is to create a binder where you put all your information. This has saved my bacon many times!
As for the hearts, I would give them a luvin' home!

My day consists of a fulltime job, hanging out with granddaughter after work for a couple of hours, a couple of days a week I have a volunteering committment at local medical clinic for the past 12 years, and then playing with my card supplies and satisfying my addiction to the internet blogs!

Jamie said...

THese days, I am finishing up my master's thesis in biology. Not much time for stamping in the coming weeks, but once i'm done, I will be able to stamp like crazy :)

Hi Jenn! I hate to leave a comment just for your give away, so I promise I'll be back. Ever since I started blogging I can't believe how many wonderful blogs there are out there. Anyway, I feel like I'm busy, but I know that I'm not nearly as busy as others. I am lucky to stay at home so I don't have to worry about an outside job, so huge KUDOS to those that do. I just take care of an 8 year old and twin 2 year olds - all boys and all the generic stuff that comes with mothering, being a wife, etc.

I am not even going to try and out busy you. Busy is a relative term. All you can do is keep on trucking! Thanks for the chance to win the Nestabilities. I just got a cuttle bug so i would love them. Happy Monday!

Can't wait to see your Papertrey samples! I've been busy making Mother's Day cards for the
www.cardsforheroes.org challenge. We make and collect other hand made cards for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and send them to them, they pick what they need and send them home to their loved ones.

What a great giveaway!! What I am doing, and what I should be doing are two different things. I have been cleaning up and washing windows, cleaning drapes and stamping. I might get some yard work done if would stay dry long enough to get out there. So yard work is put back on the honey-do list.

Thanks so much for the opportunity to win the blog candy! Wow, time seems to just fly by, and I can't believe that it is already springtime. The things that have been keeping me busy lately are: caring for my son, organizing the house, organizing my stamping items, participating in a mom's group and a Bible study, taking my son to mommy and me swim classes, playdates, and the usual humdrum of paying bills, laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc.

My life has slowed down immensely the past few years, which was a direct result of becoming very ill. I occupy my time by creating cards, going out to eat or to the theatre with family & friends, reading, worshiping God, and babysitting my young grandchildren. I truly enjoy my rather idle life:) Thank you for offering such fabulous blog candy!!!

I'm spending lots of time on SCS and blogs.....really need to do some spring cleaning!! ;)

What cool blog candy!! Ok, for my part, I've been busy chauffering (did i spell that right?) the kids. The only "free" day with nothing planned is Monday but the rest, including Saturday and Sunday are either sports, classes and school. Oh, yeah, and in between I stamp and stamp and stamp and stamp for my Etsy shop.

PS BTW, you'll LOVE Virginia! I grew up there and miss the area.

I work full time, so try to make a little extra time in the evening to make at least 1 card or part of a scrapbook page. I do not have any young children at home. I remember the days when my children were young and there was something going on everyday.

Looking forward to the new PTI release-the sneak peeks are intriguing! Right now, busy with planning a bridal shower/bachelorette party for a good friend of mine. It's hard work! :) I am trying to get motivated to exercise again because I need to look decent in the bridesmaid dress!

Since I'm a teacher, I always have something to keep me busy...like 22papers for each subject that need to be corrected each day. I'm also itching to do my spring cleaning, but I get home too late during the week to start on anything major. Add being sick for an entire week (and trying to keep a student teacher and substitute teacher busy), I'm ready to run away!

Thanks for letting me vent...I feel better already!

Thank you for squeezing in some blog time and sharing some great candy. I'm not nearly as busy as you. I can't wait for the PTI sneak peaks to begin. It doesn't seem like spring here yet but as soon as it does, I'm outside cleaning up the yard. It's such a mess from the winter.

I can't wait. :)

Unfortunately work, work and more work has been sucking the life right out of me (we have been shorthanded where I work) :(. However without it I wouldn't have any means at all to actually pay for a hobby. Vicious cycle I know :) Thank you for finding the time to share your creations, they are always awesome.

I just finished hosting a 2-day crop this past weekend. Lots of prep work before has kept me busy. Add in there homeschooling my youngest, going to all the academic award nites, trackmeets, and other school stuff for my oldest and then come home from crop to a pile of laundry and *tornado* mess in my stamp room keeps me busy this week. I love your blog and the new look is great. I look so forward to your posts and projects.
