The third full set from the Papertrey Ink for May is Bitty Baby Blessings. Oh, this set is just darling - I love the images, so sweet and simple. The design team came up with the best uses for this set, plus Nichole challenged us to each come up with a non-paper use for it, so seeing all the creations was fun.
This is what I chose to do for the non-paper challenge. I found this cute bucket hat in the baby department at Target. Stamping on fabric is so easy with the Papertrey Ink inkpads (and other Palette inks, as well). To adhere the ribbon, I used FabriTac from Beacon (available at most craft stores, I think).
I didn't put this one in the Papertrey gallery, mainly because I wasn't too sure that the colors on the patterned paper were quite right. Did you see here on the PTI website that you can download the patterned papers at home? (What a cool thing to offer!) I used a square Nestablities to frame the duck and colored him in with Copics. (I don't have an exact match for Lavender Moon.) "For baby" fits perfectly in a SU Word Window punch, if you have one - love little discoveries like that!
I am so looking forward to pulling out this set more often and using fun things like flock and Stickles to color in the animals. The small images are part of what make this set special, too - try using them in your label stamp sets! ;)
I hope that you are starting to receive these - I can't wait to see what you create with them. Leave a link to your pieces with your comment - I would love to see them!
