BIG changes underway!

Well, it seemed like our move has changed suddenly from a snail's pace to avalanche speed. After months of looking and trying to buy, we have finally been able to buy a wonderful home! And in about two weeks, I will be living in Northern Virginia.

So for that reason, I'm sure I'm going to be a little scarce. Hang in there with me, because I will definitely be posting when I can.

This is a sweet baby card that I just adore; I had submitted it a while ago but it went unloved, so I thought I would share it with you.

Happy Saturday!

Happy Birthday to the Beav! My little guy is turning 11 today!

I just wanted to let you know that I'm blogging over at Pursuit of Craftyness today. I am chatting about basic heat embossing, so if you're interested in learning a new-to-you technique, go on over.

Be well!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend! There was lots of hustle and bustle in the Ellefson household, as I'm sure there was in yours. I so love having a weekend full of fun with friends.

How's this for a great summer project? You can make this so easily for your home! I have a storm door to protect it, and since I did make it from paper, I would suggest a protected, or interior, spot for yours as well.

The base for this wreath is a little different - it is a flat wooden/MDF candle ring that I found in the floral design section of Michaels. The manufacturer is a company called 3 Ring Circles; they come in a variety of sizes for not much money! I painted it with acrylic paints and then started cutting out Spellbinders Stars from red and blue cardstock, and some glossy silver paper that I had on hand. To give your stars dimension, I recommend stacking them with foam adhesive and outlining them with contrast highlights (here I used a Krylon Red Shimmer Leafing Pen on the navy stars). I cut a paper banner to go across the center and added WELCOME cut from Spellbinders' Indulgence Font. (I love the versatility of this font!) Add a little matching ribbon to hang it from, and you have an inexpensive, seasonal decoration that, with a little care, you can enjoy for years to come.

Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget, the sneak peeks are still underway! Make sure to stop by Michelle Wooderson's blog today to see the latest!

Be well.
