I did a little coloring again today, and you know that when I'm in the mood to color, I usually pull out my Lockhart stamps. This image is called the Harvest Basket.
Here's a closer look at the image:
I tried something a little different when I was coloring the basket; I treated the weaves separately. I colored the weaves going left with one brown, the weaves going right with another. I then used my colorless blender pencil to blend the two together. I really like the dimension that I achieved by doing this!
To finish it off, I cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Small Ovals and layered it with the matching Scalloped Oval. A little cardstock behind, with a backing made from patterned paper from GCD Studios (love this company's papers!)and you have a great card. Top it off with a little machine stitching and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink (First Fruits, again!) and you're done.
Don't forget to check out the new releases at Papertrey Ink tonight! The design team has been working overtime with all the new products - you're sure to find some very inspiring ideas!
Have a nice evening. Be well.
