Oh my - where did the time go? I had such a nice week last week. See, having moved to a new area, it's been hard for me to meet people (you know how that goes!). The boys are at that age where they're not crazy about me hanging out at school (which is ok! I remember how that was!), so I haven't been meeting people in the ways that I have in the past. I have been trying to reach out to some local crafters in an effort to meet new people (which is really unlike me!). So, last week, I was so lucky to spend time with three local crafters, all on different days - so blogging ended up taking a back seat, I guess! (A great big HI! to Eileen, Elena, and Marti!)
The above image is the sweet Buttermilk Hen from Karen Lockhart. I can't get over the amount of detail in this image - which makes it so much fun to color. Since it has such a homespun feel, I decided to mat the image with a felt square. A little satin ribbon, some matching paper from my stash (an old Laura Ashley paper when it was licensed through EK Success) and it finished up beautifully!
A sweet reader asked me last week about the insides of my cards. I'll be perfectly honest, most of the cards I post here don't have anything on the insides. I like having the ability to tailor it to what I need later on! You have made me consider doing some once and a while, though - so I appreciate the little catalyst! Watch for some in the near future. (And thanks so much for the idea.)
