Every so often, I get a real treat - a phone call from Karen Lockhart. The creativity that this woman has in her little finger probably outweighs all that I will have in my lifetime. I so wish that I lived close to her - she's just so inspiring! She spouts off so many ideas during the course of a conversation that I always grab a notebook when I know it's her on the line! During out last chat, we were discussing bookmarks, which leads me to today's project. I was having fun coloring the new Itty Bitty Seed Packets with my Copics the other day (while watching the upteenth episode of Phineas & Ferb with my couch-bound Beav). When I remembered the idea about the bookmark, I thought it would be the perfect time to try it out.
I started by making this from some Spellbinders dies. I adhered some magnet tape on the inside (tip: remember to double check your polarity before adhering). Then I layered on my Inchie. I colored the image on white cardstock, so I wanted to layer it onto a Black Inchie Square. I used a white pen to put a dot border on it, then added a little white ink to the edges.
I love how cute it turned out, and can completely see making a bunch of these. What a fun way to mark your favorite pages in a cookbook! I hope this inspires you to create some of your own - the possibilities are endless!
