Welcome to another Sizzix ScoreBoard Blog Hop! We're taking a look at the Check Book Cover. I hope you're going to enjoy all the great ideas you're going to see today with all the talented designers that Eileen Hull has put together.
I decided to go in a little different direction and use this great die as a notebook cover. If you're familiar with Papertrey Ink, you know we've been playing with our new notepads a lot lately. It made me realize what a great combination these two products could be!
I started out by stamping and embossing the matboard with Polka Dot Basics II. I put the ScoreBoard together with white brads what matched the embossed dots. (Don't you think that scalloped edge is the cutest?) I then stamped the Santa image from Holiday Button Bits and framed it with this Sizzix frame. The little banner on the bottom was stamped with "Holiday Planner" from the Take Note set and accented with a felt button cut from Buttons 5.
For the interior, I created a pen loop from grosgrain ribbon (that I picked up this past weekend on a road trip with Eileen to the Offray outlet in Hagerstown MD. See, Eileen? I told you I would use it!) ;) I cut the pads a little bit, then stacked two pads together and adhered them to the check book back cover. I hope you can see just what a quick and easy project this is! It's so practical, too; the matboard makes such a sturdy cover that it would be great in your purse.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this idea and I will send you on your way to Ann Butler. You'll love what she created!
