Good morning, blog friends! How's your week going? I hope you've had some time to play creatively - it always balances things out for me!
When I was making my Inchie card yesterday, I realized that I've sort of gone off the pink deep-end this week. I opted to reel it back in for today's card, and this is the little lovely that I came up with. I had this piece of new Memory Box paper on my desk after a project that I was working on for Angela's Happy Stamper. I love the color and the pattern, and it looked really striking when that brown ribbon creeped over it (my desk was a bit cluttered!). Voila! A color combination was born! I was anxious to ink up my new Lockhart Itty Bitty Chintz Heart, so I grabbed a Dark Cream Inchie Square from Inchie Arts and stamped my image on it. I used brown ink and colored it in with colored pencils. I also inked the edge. Now for the layering (the PermaTac cartridge for the Glue Glider Pro works wonderfully with the matboard of the Inchies); a brown cardstock mat was placed under the Inchie Square, then on top of a Wheat Twinchie with inked edges. I flanked it with some pearls (that I colored to match with a Copic).
My card base is also from Inchie Arts. It is one of their Inchie Notes (now in neutrals, too!). These are 3.5" square, so they put the focus on your Inchie perfectly! The other great feature about these Notes sets is that they come with 4-Bar sized envelopes, so not only can you mail your sweet square legally, but without the pesky extra postage that a square envelope requires! Clever, clever.
I'm so pleased with this layout, too! It really draws your eye into the image - and after all, that is what you want your recipient to notice, right? Thanks for popping in today!
