Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, friends! I hope that you had a fun, relaxing time! If you're an East Coaster, you probably spent much of the weekend cuddled up like me, trying to stay warm. Brrrr...winter. But it makes for great stamping weather, don't you think? :)

I made this Anniversary card yesterday for my in-laws. They're celebrating 60 years of marriage next week! Quite an accomplishment. I knew that I wanted to use the Lockhart Folk Heart for their card, so I started with that. I still had my Basic Grey Nook & Pantry paper out from my card last week, so I decided to use that, too. I love this heart because it is so versatile - you can color it whatever way you would like and it ends up looking great. I opted to use my Copics on this one, pulling colors from the patterned paper. Here's a closer look:

If you haven't been to the Lockhart website lately, pop over to check out the latest and greatest! There are so many new images that I can't wait to ink up - and yes, I'm basically chomping at the bit! More windows, a new angel, new Itty Bitty's...{sigh}.

Have a great Monday! Be well,

Oh wow, this card is beautiful and just fits so well with 60 years! The heart has the folk art look that I associate it with years gone by and your color choices are perfect! Congrats to your inlaws! Joan B
