Hi - welcome to Papertrey Tuesday! Today, I thought I would show you a little Valentine's Day ensemble today. It consists of a card, cute envelope and a little box. Here's some quick details on them:
The card is based on a sketch from Card Positioning Systems. (Such a great site for layout inspiration. Very talented group there!) The patterned paper is from Simple Valentine. (All the patterned paper from today's post is from this super-cute paper pack.) The sentiment is from none-other-than Dawn McVey's Say It With Style stamp set. Here, I simply embossed it with some white embossing powder to make it pop!
This envelope makes me pretty happy! I've had these fun pocket envelopes for years, so I took one apart for a template - tracing it onto the patterned paper was quick and easy. To decorate it, I pulled out Alli Miles' fun Daily Designs set. That little cross-stitched heart is instant home-spun charm, don't you think? Pair it up with the cross-stitched circle and you have a sweet accent. The 'Be Mine' is from the companion set, Daily Design Sentiments. (It is chock full o' great sentiments!)
I then cut a box from the Box with Flap die from my friend, Eileen. Usually I use matboard with these dies, but this time I used plain old chipboard, then covered it with patterned paper. To accent the top and bottom, I pulled out a border punch (Martha Stewart), then stamped it with Faux Ribbon (an oldie, but wow, such a classic!). I added a couple of buttons to finish it off.
See how easy it all was? That's just one of the many things I adore about Papertrey Ink - the coordination is essentially effortless. So cute and easy (although you're the only one who needs to know how easy it was!).
Are you starting to look forward to the Anniversary festivities from Papertrey? There is so much fun stuff coming down the pike - just wait!!! I'm bursting at the seams trying not to shout it from the rooftops, but I'm going to have to restrain myself a bit. It won't be much longer... :)
Have a great day! Be well,
