Today's featured die is called the Box with Lid and it is such a great die. You get both the base and the lid on one die. Add a little tape, and you have the perfect little box for a multitude of purposes, especially giving handmade jewelery! (Although Beav thinks they're fantastic for his rock specimens, too!)
For this sample, I added the tape to the outside of the box. This is 1/4" Scor-Tape, a very strong tape that you can tear by hand (similar to red lined tape, if you're not familiar with it, but without that pesky static-filled piece in your way). Once I had that adhered, I decided to cover it with microbeads for an elegant, dimensional look. To accent the top, I scored a Maya Road Sheer Blossom and added Ranger Glossy Accents as an adhesive. Sprinkle some more microbeads, add a rhinestone and voila! A beautiful accent for the top of the box. To finish, I simply added a stamped image from Papertrey Ink's Vintage Labels set stamped in Vintage Cream ink for a soft look.
This collection of ScoreBoards dies are arriving in stores now, so if make sure to keep an eye open! Eileen has a new collection being introduced at CHA next week - I can't wait!
