So cute you could eat it!

I'm starting to work on my Valentine's cards, just creating individual sweeties for a few friends and family. This one - well, all I can say is YUM! Karen Lockhart has created another perfect cupcake, the Cupcake with Sprinkles. An image as sweet as this deserves to take the limelight on your card, so I left this design very simple (a patterned paper background, a solid stripe done with a border punch and ribbon with rhinestones). I colored the cupcake with Copics and added a little bit of Stickles:

See what I mean? Cute enough to eat! This is one of my favorite things about Lockhart Stamps, the image can always take center stage and hold it's own with beauty and grace. And while this image was part of Karen's Valentine release, I know I'm going to be using it year round! I can already envision the heart sprinkles in primary colors for a birthday card, or in the recipient's favorite colors for a thank you card (with the sentiment of 'Thanks for being so sweet' or something like that!).

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Be well.
