Sympathy cards

Sadly, I've had a need for some sympathy cards lately, so I thought I would show you what we sent to our friends. Sympathy cards can be such a challenge, and even more so when you need to make them for men. Papertrey's new set, Through the Trees was just the set to use. Clean and simple was definitely called for on these, so I simply used Fresh Snow ink on True Black cardstock. I pulled out some Smokey Shadow for a mat, then made the card base out of Soft Stone. I also used a sentiment from With Sympathy for the interior. The end result is a classic, thoughtful card for our friends - exactly the look that I was hoping for. These stamps sets pulled off the look effortlessly.

Be well.

these cards are so beautiful and I'm sure they will comfort someone. Thanks for the ideas--it is so hard to make sympathy cards.

Very nicely done Jenn!. You've combined the CAS & masculine look for this type of card so well. I also love the colors you chose. Thanks for sharing!
