Good morning from snowy Washington DC!

Morning, blog friends. So it's Friday morning, and I'm sitting at my desk with my favorite mug filled with my favorite coffee and I'm bracing myself...there's a storm coming. And this is no wimpy little Southern-style snow storm, it's a big whopper. We're preparing for another two feet of snow over the next 24-36 hours. (You may remember this post from December where I wrote about the 2 feet of snow we got. Well, this past Saturday, we got 5 inches; then Wednesday, we got another 4 inches. And today...I admit it. This snow has me defeated.)

So I guess it's best to stay inside and craft!

Have you all buckled your seatbelt for Miss Nichole's Wild Ride? I hope you've been following along with all the fun for Papertrey Ink's anniversary celebration. There are SO MANY AMAZING THINGS planned that it makes me truly giddy with excitement! If you haven't yet, check out all the fun at Nichole's blog.

I thought I would share this card with you today. My brother-in-law's birthday was earlier this week, and this is the card that I sent him. I'm not fond of sending lumpy embellishments through the mail, so this is a flat one. It starts out with a sailboat from Men Of Life and a great Happy Birthday sentiment from Say It With Style. The color combination is Kraft, Ocean Tides, Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado - a great look for a classic masculine card. Add in a little Dark Chocolate ink and it gives it that pop that makes it complete!

This card is 9" x 4" - a really fun size for a little spice in your card making. They're nice because they fit in a standard business size envelope.

OK - off to partake in the Papertrey 3rd anniversary celebration. See you there!

Be well (stay warm!)

My kids are thrilled to be out of school again and I'm ok with it, too. I'm looking forward to some guilt-free crafting time. Enjoy!

I think staying inside when there is that much snow is good except if you need to go out and take some photos!!! Enjoy some crafting time.
