Warm Comfort

Hi blog friends! I apologize for being a little MIA last week! As you may have heard on the news, my area of the country got punched pretty hard by snow last week, so I feel like any spare time was spent literally digging out. But enough about things I can't control! Moving on...

I created this card for a friend who had surgery a little while ago. She's a very talented and knowledgable stamper, so I wanted to make a card that would make her really look twice. I pulled out my Quilt Block 2 from Lockhart Stamp Company and colored it with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I deliberately wanted to give it a time-worn, washed look and this was the perfect way to do so. When I paired it up with some patterned paper (Anna Griffin), the sentiment (Papertrey) and some machine stitching, it made for a lovely, comforting card.

Have a fantastic day! Be well,

Absolutely encouraging! Who wouldn't love to receive this if feeling under the weather?
