Papertrey Tuesday

Spring in DC is synonomous with Cherry Blossoms, so when Asian Fusion was released, you know my thoughts immediately leapt to spring! I had a really fun time putting this card together. I used a color combination of Pure Poppy, Sweet Blush (cardstock base and Bitty Box Basics) along with True Black Felt. For the felt, I die cut it with the new Small scalloped border die, then did a quick straight line of stitching on the top and bottom. To finish it, I added a couple of dots of Liquid Pearls.

For the image itself, you will see that the flowers are red and pink. The red comes from the great stamp in this set, then I went back and colored the flowers (and the vase accents) with a pink colored pencil. The final touch was more use of Liquid Pearls in the flower centers for a subtle dimension.

For the bottom half of the card, I used Pure Poppy ink for a tone-on-tone look. The border stamps in this set are the perfect addition to this! They're beautiful and understated, and the best complement to the focal images.

I'm looking forward to sending this to my sister-in-law later this month for her birthday. It is just her style!

I've been creating up a Papertrey storm lately, so I will be back with more later this week. In the meantime, have an amazing day and be well.
