Wee & Whimsical Wednesday

Morning friends! I have another spring-ful card for you today, and seeing as it's Wee & Whimsical Wednesday, you know it features an Inchie Arts square! Today's image is the Lockhart Sweet Peas, but rather than pulling out my pencils or markers, I chose my Shimmerz paints for a light, cheerful look. The Twinchies may only be 2" x 2", but you will be surprised at just how large that really is - MANY of your favorite images will actually fit within that area, making these a great staple in your stamping supply arsenal. One of the characteristics of Inchies Arts squares is that they're artist-quality matboard and that means they take a wide variety of mediums beautifully. Want to use watercolors? No problem - there's no wrinkling or pilling, just a great surface that accepts them effortlessly. After I stamped and painted, I inked the edges with a pink chalk ink. It gives it a soft look to match the watercolors. And because the watercolors that I chose were Shimmerz, they have a great sparkle, too. Here's a different angle for a better look:

The patterned papers are some old Memory Box patterns (I'm trying to use my old stuff, but I think I'll still be trying when the great-grandchildren come over to play!). A little machine stitching wraps it all up beautifully!

Have a great day - and enjoy the sunshine if you have some today! Be well.
