No more nikked wine bottles!

Good Monday Morning! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! We did, just lots of fun stuff that came together...not a lot that we had planned, per se, which made it all the more fun.

So today's project came out of 'necessity', as so many of my fave projects do. We went over to a friend's house Saturday night a bit impromptu, and I grabbed a bottle of wine to take with us. The only problem is that I like to dress up my wine bottles a little and didn't have time. Yesterday, when I had a little stampy time, I came up with this wine tag. No pattern, and only scraps, but I loved the way it turned out!

As you can see, the Lockhart Vintage Apron is the perfect focal point for this project. I simply stamped it with black ink onto this fun Cosmo Cricket patterned paper. I cut it out and colored in the trim with a coordinating Copic. Not only is that the fun part, but it's also the 'tough' part of this project!

When you look at it this way, you can easily see how this was just a piece of scrap cardstock that I had. I stamped it with a background stamp (PTI) and scored it. I then used a circle punch to punch the opening for the wine bottle neck. I folded it at the score and used a 1/2" corner rounder for a more distinctive look. I adhered my focal image and added a sentiment (PTI).

I plan on making up a few of these to keep on hand! I'll never hand over a plain wine bottle again! Give it a try - you'll be amazed at how easy this is. Be well!

These are really cute! I must show them to a friend of mine that made some, but used a lot of ribbon for the part that goes around the neck. Your solution is brilliant! And that apron stamp is too cute!
